CRYSTALIQ - Handcrafted crystal glass

Production

Crystal glass is created through a disciplined sequence of decisions: design, mold preparation, glassblowing, cooling, cutting, inspection, and packaging.

CRYSTALIQ builds on the European tradition of hand-shaped crystal glass. Each product is designed to work in use and in detail: the proportion must sit well in the hand, the glass wall must carry light, and the decoration must never overpower the clarity of the material. We therefore treat production as a controlled craft process, not as a decorative gesture.

01

Design and proportion

The first step is always the design. We define silhouette, volume, balance, glass thickness, the position of a cut, and the way the object will work with light. A glass must feel balanced in the hand, a vase needs a confident vertical line, and a votive must guide light safely. The sketch then becomes a technical brief and a prepared mold.

02

Material ready for shape

Crystal glass is sensitive to temperature, time, and rhythm. In the furnace it becomes molten glass ready for hand shaping. This phase affects not only the outside form but also the purity of the material, the evenness of the wall, and the optical quality of the finished piece.

03

Glassblowing and hand shaping

Glassblowing is precise teamwork. The maker works with breath, tools, and a mold so the hot material reaches the proportion defined by the design. Every movement must be calm, quick, and accurate because the glass changes continuously during the process.

04

Cooling and stabilisation

Once shaped, the product must cool in a controlled way. This step is quiet but essential: proper cooling helps release internal tension in the material and prepares the piece for cutting or final finishing. Only a stable piece can continue to the next stage.

05

Cutting, edges, and optical detail

Cutting gives crystal its character. Sometimes it is subtle and rhythmic, sometimes more architectural. With every line we look at the cleanliness of the cut, the consistency of the pattern, and the way light breaks on the edge. The goal is not to hide glass under ornament, but to reveal its optical depth.

06

Quality inspection

Every finished product is checked visually and practically. We look at shape, stability, clarity, shine, cut detail, surface, and the overall impression in the hand. Handmade production naturally brings subtle differences between pieces; those variations must support the product's character, not weaken its quality.

07

Packaging and a safe journey

Crystal glass needs packaging that respects its fragility and its gifting character. We prepare products so they are protected in transit and still feel like a finished gift or a representative object for a home, interior, or company project.

Individual projects

For B2B collaboration we can prepare adaptations of existing products, special packaging, personalisation, or development of a custom shape including mold preparation. Even with individual projects, the foundation stays the same: good design, readable material, honest craft, and a controlled result.
